Greetings from the National Institute of Credit Administration. As an elite, we invite you to join the membership of the National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA) as either a Fellow, Member, or Associate member, by direct entry.

NICA was established by law vide ante Act No. 26 of August 16th 2022, having existed as “Institute of Credit Administration (ICA)” for 30 years. The Act gives NICA the statutory power and supervisory authority to control, regulate, and set standards for the credit management profession and education in Nigeria; thus, the Institute promote, protect, enhance, and encourage sound credit business management across industries, and other credit management related matters throughout the federation of Nigeria with impact on global credit matters.

Induction into the membership of NICA is open to any educated person who is working or about to work, managing or owns a business organization that grants credit, provides/supplies credit; that is, person/ organisation that have ever received or taken credit, be it financial, trade, business, or consumer credit; a person or corporate organisation who have expanded, grown, or started a new business using credit; and individual/ organisation that have experienced increase in the nation’s GDP through the credit business activities in the economy; are all welcomed to join the membership of NICA. As a statutory professional body established by the Act of parliament, our mandate is to ensure that our members manage Nigeria’s credit economy professionally and assist the government to transit the economy from cash based to a vibrant, people-centred credit ecosystem.

To join the membership of NICA as an individual professional or corporate member, you are required to send your most recent resume or CV with a passport photograph to for assessment by NICA’s Membership Screening Committee.

Thereafter, you will receive an invoice indicating the direct entry fee you are expected to pay, together with the category of membership of NICA, approved for you based on your qualification and experience.

Please note that upon your induction as a holder of NICA professional membership qualification, you will immediately commence NICA Member’s Mandatory Credit Management Academic Improvement Programme (MCMAIP). The programme is conducted by NICA accredited Postgraduate School of Credit and Financial Management (PSCFM), totally online, every 2 Saturdays of the month, for a period of six months.
